Insider Seller Hack – Preparing For Home Inspections

Today we have a seller hack for you on preparing for home inspections.

First and foremost is maintenance. We want to make sure anything that’s safety and function related are addressed ahead of time because they are going to be highlighted on any inspection report.

Next is cleaning and decluttering, especially to make sure that an inspector has access to any crawlspaces and electrical boxes for example. Next, organize your documentation and make sure all your receipts are handy and any maintenance records in case you need to refer to them.

Test your systems and appliances to make sure that you understand what’s working and what isn’t. Plan for pets to be either kennel or removed if needed.

And finally, consider having your own pre-inspection; have an inspector come in that you pay and highlight these areas and get them addressed ahead of time. 

Preparing for home inspections is a must for any serious seller!
