Spring is the perfect time to perform some basic maintenance to keep your home looking and working great. That means it’s time to clean, repair, and refresh your home by creating your spring home maintenance checklist.
Clean
- Clean gutters and downspouts
- Powerwash your exterior
- Wash exterior windows
- Clean out the dryer exhaust vent
- Shampoo your carpet and rugs
- Deep clean fridge and freezer
- Move large appliances to sweep and mop behind them
- Dust tops of kitchen cupboards
- Wash fabric window treatments
Check & Repair
- Check and clear area around outdoor air conditioning unit
- Check for missing shingles on the roof
- Check for tree limbs and branches near the roof or windows
- Spray for pests inside your home
- Repair or replace damaged window screens
- Change interior filters for air conditioner
- Clean out the medicine cabinet
- Purge closets of seasonal clothing
- Donate gently used clothing you no longer wear
